Ben's attack

  • Ben tried to kill her because he saw that she was not one of the good ones. Upon her saving his life, he assumed that she might be, but when his thanks was met with scorn, he thought otherwise.
  • He attacked her because she killed Goodwin, who for all we know was a prominent figure in The Others hierarchy, and appeared to be a loyal follower of Ben.
    • But in "The Other Woman" we find out that Ben set Goodwin's death up himself to prove a point to Juliet.
    • Michael didn't have to kill Ana-Lucia, he could have just held her at gun point and escaped with Henry/Ben. Maybe Juliet had some say in how he went about his mission, because Ana did kill Juliet's boyfriend, Goodwin.
  • He attacked her because she called the Others killers. Before he hit her he whispered "you insult us."
