Theories may be removed if ...
  1. Stated as questions or possibilities (avoid question marks, "Maybe", "I think", etc).
  2. More appropriate for another article.
  3. Illogical or previously disproven.
  4. Proven by canon source, and moved to main article.
  5. Speculative and lacking any evidence to support arguments.
  6. Responding to another theory (use discussion page instead).
  • This does not include responses that can stand alone as its own theory.
  • Usage of an indented bullet does not imply the statement is a response.

Is Sawyer the father?

  • May be a counter-con by Cassidy to recover the money that Sawyer stole from her -- i.e. either there is no baby, or there is, but Cassidy is currently with the real father.
    • Considering that Cassidy pressed charges and Sawyer went to jail for conning her, she probably got the money back that he took from her. Since Cassidy doesn't seem the type for petty revenge, this probably isn't a counter con.
    • Cassidy tells Kate that she is pregnant with a con man's child. ("Left Behind")
  • Sawyer tells Munson he is on trash duty and has been in the prison for 9 months. He then follows up again stating to Munson in the same scene that the Warden has made life hell for him the past 9 months. This may be significant to confirm that the daughter could be his or that there is a stronger possibility.

Other theories

  • The producers mentioned Clementine in one of the podcasts and seemed to have little if any doubt that Clementine is both real (i.e. not a scam) and Sawyer's biological daughter and not the child of some other man.
  • Since Clementine is an infant, she will play a very important part in Lost, as have many other children and babies.
  • Clementine may well appear as a "cross" in another character's flashback.
