The commune is near San Francisco, as in Locke's paperwork, it lists his residence as Franklin Street, San Francisco.
Locke's experience with the illegal drug industry is how Locke knew Charlie was using drugs.
- They will be connected somehow (pre-crash) because of this.
The commune was possibly in or near Luna, California, as in Bad Twin. According to the book, Luna's about two hours north of LAX, which puts it at best in central California. Humboldt County (where the farm is located in the episode) is decidedly north of that area, one county away from Oregon.
