Grandfather Shephard is the father of Christian Shephard, and grandfather of Jack Shephard and Claire Littleton. He has not been shown in Lost but is mentioned by Christian ("The Watch")

On the day that Jack and Sarah got married, Christian passed Jack the watch his father had given him on his own wedding day. Christian explained that he never wore it himself, because that very day Jack's grandfather had told him of his disapproval of Jack's mother.
