  • It is a box of tools that was stashed in the plane after it crashed (similar to the way the dynamite may have been stored in the Black Rock).
  • The fictional company is a play on the real Hilton Tool companies just as Minnesota Metallurgy and Mining is a play on Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing (3M).
  • The company is connected to Rose and Bernard who are also from the Bronx.
    • The company has some involvement with the Monster (or technology relating to the Monster) as Rose mentions that it sounds 'familiar' to her in "Pilot, Part 1", before telling Charlie that she is from the Bronx.
