• As I've already said and most have heard from me: this is great! My tweak suggestion is for improving the functionality of the Job List block. Currently it has only three examples with explanatory text. An alternative I'd like to suggest is to improve the portal functionality by providing more than three:
  • Remove the explanatory text, and leave it mostly to the Job List main article
  • Create a miniature nav box with as many jobs as possible. Use a small font if necessary, and of course, don't include jobs listed elsewhere in the portal. For example, include:
    1. Stubs
    2. Rewrites
    3. Cleanup
    4. Picture needed
    5. Replace image
    6. Wanted pages
    7. Links to disambigs
    8. And possibly: Uncategorized pages and Uncategorized images.

In this instance, I see what you mean, but on the surface the first three are higher in priority for our expansion IMO, and a complete list would make the job list redundant (though this isn't necessarily a bad thing, as I made the list as a compromise when we had no Community Portal). However, we could merge the info into here and then move "help" to the right column to offset length differences, if you wanted? --Nickb123 (Talk) 05:48, 31 October 2006 (PST)

• • I kind of like WP's style of job list where they list some good examples of pages to be rewritten, etc:

• Rewrite articles: The Others, Hieroglyphs, Confidence Man, Katherine "Kate" Austen, Charlie Pace
• Clean up articles: Live Together, Die Alone, United Kingdom, The Swan Theories, The "Monster" Theories
• Expand articles: Podcast articles, Cast articles
• Find images or replace images
• Categorize pages and images
• For other jobs see the job list

The only problem with this though is that we'd have to edit the page every five minutes, unless you can come up with a automate formula. I understand that some might commit themselves to it, but realistically we'll all forget about it and it'll continually get outdated. • Another thing to consider adding? Lostpedia: Glossary under Help... anyone see any value in that? Just a suggestion. I didn't add it because I don't want to mess up the chart spacing, and don't know if others want this. Or maybe just add to the Help template? --PandoraX 04:43, 31 October 2006 (PST)
