Mr. and Mrs. Tranh worked at Bennigan's before they were discovered by Hurley. He hired them as butlers, and they served his family in their mansion in Diamond Bar, Los Angeles. Hurley fired them before he left for Australia, trying to distance his family from the bad luck. ("Tricia Tanaka Is Dead")

They were apparently rehired, as Hurley, coming home to a mysteriously silent home, called out "Mr. Tranh? Lady Tranh?" after calling the names of his mother and father. ("There's No Place Like Home, Part 1")

Trivia

A fun little throwaway joke has Hurley addressing Mrs. Tranh as "Lady Tranh". Ladytron (pronounced identically) is an electronica band, a song by Roxy Music and a comic book character; being a pop culture buff, Hurley might have been thinking of any of these three.
