From Lostpedia
Several paintings are seen by Desmond in Charles Widmore's office, during Desmond's flashback in "Flashes Before Your Eyes".

Namaste polar bear painting
One painting, in a style reminiscent of the mural painted on the Swan's wall on the Island, has polar bears, an inverted Buddha, mountain peaks, and the word Namaste on it. It and the third painting are on the wall opposite of the bar. Many viewers initially thought that the Namaste was written backwards. In the actual filming and the majority of the scene, the painting appears to Desmond's left, with Namaste written correctly. In initial shots the film was reversed, causing the painting to appear on Desmond's right with Namaste written backwards. It is unknown if this was intentional or not.
Thomas' painting
This painting (or print) is one of Thomas' paintings that were in Thomas and Claire's apartment in Australia in "Raised by Another". [1] It is hung on the same wall as the bar.
Third painting
This and the namaste painting are on the wall opposite of the bar. It has yet to be identified.

- Were similar paintings ever in Widmore's real-life office or are they a product of Desmond's imagination?
- How did Thomas's painting find its way into Widmore's office? And how could it be there in the late 90's, then back in Thomas' studio years later?
