Claire's flashback
- After Christian Shephard's death, funding for Claire's mother's medical treatment might have come to an end.
- Claire most likely doesn't even know this, as Christian died the day before the flight and Claire was given the tickets the day before the flight. Claire was probably too busy to even go to the hospital before she left.
- Christian says a friend told him about the accident. In reality, Christian found out about the accident because Lindsey told him. Lindsey wasn't surprised to see Christian, she was just surprised to see him at the hospital.
Miscellaneous
- The Island prevents inhabitants from dying of natural causes. They can only die from trauma like Boone, Shannon, Ana Lucia, Libby, Roger, Yemi, Eko, Bea, Mikhail, Ethan, Edward Mars, etc. This explains why Rose is not dying. Whatever Jack thought about Ben's life being in danger, Ben was only fearful of disability.
- When Mikhail said that Kate, Sayid and Locke weren't on the list, he was referring to the same list that Danny was when he said that Jack "wasn't even on Jacob's list".
- The tagged seagull will just end up back on the Island, not having managed to attract anyone's attention, because it also cannot escape the "bloody snowglobe".
- Alternatively the seagulls could be found in the future and the message attached could blow the Oceanic 6 cover story.
- However, nothing in the message suggests that the story they told to the reporters was a lie.
