Radzinsky was Kelvin Inman's partner inside the Swan, sometime before Desmond crashed on the Island. What little information is known about him was provided solely by Kelvin.

Radzinsky was the originator of the blast door map, which he worked on with the aid of his photographic memory. He discovered how to fake a lockdown procedure, which made it possible to work on the map more deliberately. Radzinsky is also responsible for having edited the Swan Orientation film.

Kelvin explained to Desmond that, while he was asleep, Radzinsky committed suicide by putting a shotgun in his mouth and firing it, causing a blood stain on the ceiling. Because of the protocol, Kelvin had to bury him within 108 minutes. ("Live Together, Die Alone")

Trivia

  • This method of suicide was also used by Sam Toomey.
  • An individual called "S.R." is mentioned in one of the Pearl Station's notebooks as having moved the ping-pong table. Assuming these are initials, there are only 2 known characters they can refer to - Shannon Rutherford or Radzinsky. Shannon is not known to have ever entered the hatch, leaving the possibility that Radzinsky's first name begins with "S".
  • Radzinsky's death was confirmed by script coordinator Gregg Nations [1] and by Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof on Access: Granted from the Lost: The Complete Third Season (DVD) Blu-ray edition.
  • In Access: Granted, the producers jokingly mention a possible Lost spin-off show called "Radzinsky's Travels". It would involve Radzinsky exploring the island and creating the Blast Door Map.
  • In Access: Granted TPTB make a very interesting statement about Radzinsky's spattered brains are in the center of an Ultra Dense Metal Ball.
