Lost has become a hit show all over the world, attracting an average of 16 million viewers each episode during the first season. It has also won several awards, including an Emmy Award for "Outstanding Drama Series", and "Best American Import" at the British Academy Television Awards. In fact, Lost is the second most watched show in the world.

A survey of twenty countries by "Informa Telecoms" and Media in 2006 concluded that Lost was the second most watched TV show in the world. [3]

In its post hiatus episodes, Lost, on an average got between an 18%-24% bump in the ratings after including the DVR numbers. [source needed]
