Future Events

  • Eko's last words to Locke, might be a premonition to a future confrontation(s) between the Monster and all who were there when Eko died, including Sayid.
    • We already know he makes it off the Island.
  • To keep the Island safe, Ben has convinced Sayid to kill certain members of the Oceanic 6 and those behind the cover up, including Elsa's boss, Mr. Avellino, and Abaddon.
  • Sayid and Desmond will become enemies in a later season when Ben hires him to kill Penny, this may result in one of their deaths.

DHARMA/Island Secrets

  • While pursuing Shannon in "Abandoned", right before she was shot by Ana Lucia, Sayid trips over something then gets up again and continues to run after her. With close analysis of the screenshot, at the time he falls, we can clearly see a handle or a pipe of some sort. This may be a part of another Hatch of a DHARMA Station in the jungle, that Sayid stumbled upon but no one knows that yet, or just a error in production. For further analysis, check the screenshot linked here: Possible Hatch.
  • Sayid is often seen performing manual tasks, especially digging. There could be a simple explanation for this, but perhaps he is looking for something specific; something Rosseau told him about during his time with her.

Miscellaneous

  • Sayid never tortured Amira. He knew Amira's husband was going to torture and kill him if he did not confess. At first, he thought it was better to die than confess to something he didn't do. When Amira told her tragic story Sayid decided to confess to torturing her. He thought he could at least bring her some peace and his death would not be futile. This flashback shows that torture is not always the quickest or most effective way to get someone to confess. It also shows that with the correct application of psychological techniques, even the hardiest of individual will confess to something they didn't do.
    • The story means nothing unless Sayid actually tortured her. Sayid's main thing is atoning for the things he has done. It's hard to believe because we like him, but he tortured a woman, and that's never going to go away for him.
  • Sayid's parents are dead, or have disowned him. They were not present when the rest of the Oceanic Six was reunited with their family.

Sayid's and Locke's trade

  • Sayid did not trade Miles for Charlotte. He must have had some other bargaining chip as Locke was already holding Miles.
  • Sayid volunteered to report back to Locke, acting as his personal spy. Trading Miles for Charlotte was just for show.
