Sun acquired a fake California driver's license as part of her plan to leave Jin and to start a new life in America. It most likely came from the packet of false documents supplied to her by her decorator. ("House of the Rising Sun")

However, after being on the Island for a while, Sun decided to bury it. Michael accidentally witnessed this when he was chasing Vincent in the jungle. ("Buried Secrets")

Sun's date of birth is not legible on the card, as her hand was covering it. Her real date of birth is known to be March 20, 1980. ("Ji Yeon")
- Presumably, her fake driver's license would use her actual birth date. Similarly, her eye color was also not legible, but presumably the license listed her real color.
Episode 1x06 of the CBS series Numb3rs features a Californian driver's license with the same registration number and RSTR codes. The RSTR codes are restriction codes, such as for corrective lenses.
