Exactly! This arrogance thing is rather biased (the only one I've seen so far, but still...). Not to mention that, among other things, this is Jack following his father's advice to give his patients more hope (as said in the episode with Sarah and her operation). Finally, Angelo died because his heart couldn't take it - as far as we know, Jack said he had the tumour and would've probably fixed Angelo. Also, haven't you realised, that Jack finds it extremely difficult to say no when someone's asking him for help. The desire to help (everyone) is not arrogance, not to mention that there exist people who honestly believe that if they do not help others and do everything they can for them, they are failing. And Jack does show a lot of the characteristics of such a person.

Busoni as slang for homosexual
