Annie's Death
I disagree with the statement that Annie died in the Purge. I don't think Ben could have been a part of that. There are two better possibilities. One, Annie's death may have been the impetus for Ben to turn off the fence and go looking for his mother. Two, and the more likely in my opinion, Annie might have died trying to bear Ben's child (between last Young Ben flashback in ("The Man Behind the Curtain") and older Ben flashback).Boloboffin 04:03, 10 May 2007 (PDT)
- Why is everyone so certain that Annie is dead? --Amberjet11 12:38, 10 May 2007 (PDT)
- I too disagree. While she may have died, she may have just gone to the mainland, or even joined with the Hostiles herself. (Ben says he was one of those who were smarter enough to join The Others, implying more). Born Acorn 13:24, 10 May 2007 (PDT)
- I think Annie is still alive. Is it possible she is one of the people on the island? She looks a lot like Kate to me.--Lluciano 13:07, 11 May 2007 (PDT)
- I think Annie is still alive as well. I too think she is Kate. Afterall, Kate is the first person we see eating an Apollo Candy in the hatch (and if I remember correctly she knew what is was), that is until we see Annie, which is an alias Kate uses, give an Apollo Bar to Ben. - Knowledge of a uncommon brand of candy-bar is hardly significant reason to consider a person's identity by. Some candy bars, brands of sodas, and breakfast cereals are only sold in certain regions of the United States, much less the world. There is no indication that Kate knows or does not know what an "Apollo" bar is other than the fact that it says "chocolate bar" on the wrapper or the tin that they were in, and Hurley's ignorance of the branding may only be due to his home state. The short short is, while this appears to be a clever indicator by the producers, I think it's a stretch to believe that Kate is Annie, especially after her extended interactions with Ben (why wouldn't he address the issue of her identity? Surely Jacob would have told him who she was.).Frankie Viturello 02:12, 8 June 2007 (PDT)
- And there's the fact that Ben is middle aged, and Kate's 27
- I think Annie didn't die, but she left the island and that's why she gave Ben the dolls before leaving, so they "would never be apart". Impheatus 14:59, 19 May 2007 (PDT)
Her name bears a striking resemblance to Dannielle's name.--Stan 13:27, 11 May 2007 (PDT)
Annie lives
In this Emerson interview [[1]] he answers the questions if we will see her again and if she will be grown up by then both with "Yes." - Roger 18:21, 14 June 2007 (PDT)
Considering all of the conflicting background stories she supplies, as well as the claims Ben Linus makes to Alex's parentage, is it possible that Annie is actually Danielle Rousseau? I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone mention this yet. --Squashua 11:43, 29 February 2008 (PST)
- I saw a lot of talk about that on the Lost-tv forums. They get deep. As for Danielle being Annie, I don't know. It conflicts with her landing on the island in '88. The-room 11:47, 29 February 2008 (PST)
- Danielle (or the writers) has been very inconsistent with her background story. It is possible she was not part of any expedition. Then-again, why would she change the numbers broadcast to a French warning? I guess time will tell. --Squashua 12:05, 29 February 2008 (PST)
- Maybe we will seen her grown up, but only as some sort of ghost? Leo Johannes 04:02, 1 July 2008 (PDT)
Dolls
shouldn't his dolls be put under items in the thing at the bottom?--Tylerr395 15:31, 14 May 2007 (PDT)
