Talk:Commercial director

Rename
Shouldn't articles about characters be named simply with the character's name (unless there are multiple with the same name)? Unless we know a first name, should probably just be Bender. --Minderbinder 15:38, 5 October 2006 (PDT)

- I agree in theory, but Bender might link to Jack Bender as well. Make it a disambig to this page as Bender (character)? --Jajasoon 20:17, 13 October 2006 (PDT)
- I think Bender should be a disambig, with links to Jack Bender and Bender (Commercial director) -- Paladine<c.t> 20:22, 13 October 2006 (PDT)
- No, in the case of a single disambig (i.e. 2 possible meanings), simply create the main article, and put an single line disambiguation to the secondary meaning at the top of the page: This article refers to the fictional character. For the real Lost director, see Jack Bender.-- C¯ _Santa_ ¯TSanta 15:21, 18 October 2006 (PDT)

Rename to Commercial Director
Where and when was his name revealed as "Bender"? I cannot find it anywhere. In the episode's credits, he's credited as a director, nowhere does it list a name. Can anyone shed some light on this? If not, I propose a rename is in order.

- What is the policy here? The ABC Medianet press release credits him simply as "director", but the IMDb cast page credits him as "Bender, Commercial Director". --Slugless 14:46, 23 December 2007 (PST)
- IMDB is not credible, the cast list on IMDB for "The Long Con", also lists him as being credited as Bender, when he wasn't in the episode. I have no idea where the name Bender surfaced from, but if it was from IMDB then the name of the article should be changed. --Hen-Regale 08:27, 12 December 2007 (PST)
