Synopsis
A mother swan and her three baby swans are swimming through a river to the waltz The Blue Danube. Young Daffy (the ugly duckling) tries to keep up with them, only to be stopped by the mother swan because of his undesirable looks. The vulture then flies down the river and takes each swan, one by one, but rejects young Daffy. Daffy puts on a sign that reads "Rejected 4F" (unfit for military service).
When the mother swan realizes her babies are missing, she desperately starts to look for the other three and is disinterested when she sees Daffy. Baby Daffy then finds the three baby swans and rescues them, killing the vulture in the process. In the aftermath, the vulture can be seen in a typical angel costume - white robes, a pair of wings, a halo and a harp.
Finally, the mother swan allows Daffy to tag along.
