Release notes
Version 0.14
Release date: May 22nd, 2008
| Feature | Summary |
|---|---|
| 011 | Cleaning up Drive Shaft, the Kahana, Ana Lucia, radio tower, the Tempest, the freighter, and the Swan Computer. Per User:Graft's request. |
Version 0.13
Release date: February 06th, 2007
| Feature | Summary |
|---|---|
| 010 | Adding button to add cross-references, per User:Lost Soul's request. |
Version 0.12
Release date: February 06th, 2007
| Feature | Summary |
|---|---|
| 008 | Adding main template as a replacement for ''See main article, [[.*?]]'', per User:Lost Soul's request. |
| 009 | Commented out feature #3, and now only changing episode titles to use ep if the words are inside of brackets. Now that most articles have already been cleaned up, the previous functionality is no longer as useful as it was. This should reduce the number of inappropriately suggested fixes. |
Version 0.11
Release date: January 08th, 2007
| Feature | Summary |
|---|---|
| 007 | Italicizing Black Rock, Elizabeth, and Galaga per the existing convention. |
Version 0.1
Release date: December 23rd, 2006
| Feature | Summary |
|---|---|
| 001 | Change episode titles to their Template:ep equivalent. (Manual of Style) |
| 002 | Change the capitalization and spelling of many words (e.g., The island -> the Island). The words are changed to match the convention used within the word's article on Lostpedia. |
| This feature was discontinued with version 0.12. Lowercase the word: the if it is not at the beginning of a sentence. (Sentence case) | |
| 004 | Remove extra whitespace. This reduces occurences of 3 or more newlines to 2 newlines, and removes any newlines from the bottom of the article. |
| 005 | Remove the '.' from the end of image captions. Be careful with this, because the '.' should remain if the caption is a complete sentence. (Wikipedia:Captions#Complete sentences) |
| 006 | Lowercase some common level-2 and level-3 headers (See also, External links, Recurring themes, Cultural references, Realtime events, Flashback events). This style preference is being debated in Lostpedia's Manual of Style talk page, but is the standard at Wikipedia. If necessary, this will be changed to match whatever is in Lostpedia's MoS. (Wikipedia:Manual of Style (headings)#Capitalization) |

- Hey, this is great. Even though now that I have i can't find any pages to edit. I have been testing it around and making mistakes to see what it can fix. Here are a couple quick suggestions I can think of. 1) Make sure the letter "i" is capitalized when by itself. 2) make sure the names of all the main characters (and possibly all the characters) and main actors are capitalized. 3) Make sure the first word of each sentence is capitalized.
Those are just a few fixes, but its great the way it is, the episode title thing will be a great help.--Mr.Leaf 14:54, 7 January 2007 (PST)
- I continue to be stunned and amazed. Maybe you're the person to go to for a user stats tool. Anyways... I had a question about the episode template replacement tool. What happens for episode names that are part of link text? For example the episode name incorporated in a link in the "More images" section of Automobiles#Jack. In other words, replacing this text with the template would result in an error. -- C¯ _Santa_ ¯T 23:47, 22 January 2007 (PST)
Hi Dagg. I've noticed that GOSH can add in excessive bolds on episode titles in info boxes. EG name={{ep|#x##|bold=1|bold=1|bold=1}}. A new "bold=1" gets added every time someone runs GOSH. Not that it does any particular harm mind, but maybe there's a simple fix. Cheers--TechNic|talk|conts 20:03, 14 May 2007 (PDT)
How about when someone writes Dharma can you somehow get it to become DHARMA? --Blueeagleislander 21:41, 20 July 2007 (PDT)
GOSH is getting confused by the distiction between Black Rock ledger and Black Rock. Thanks--TechNic|talk|conts 07:05, 3 March 2008 (PST)
- Requests:
- Driveshaft -> Drive Shaft
- Kahana -> Kahana
- Ana-Lucia -> Ana Lucia - Ana-Lucia Cortez -> Ana Lucia Cortez
- Radio Tower -> radio tower
- The Tempest -> the Tempest
- The Freighter -> the freighter
- Not change "[[Swan computer]]" to "[[the Swan computer]]"
- Is there a way for it to not make capitalization changes if it is part of an image file name? -- Graft talk contributions 01:20, 22 March 2008 (PDT)
Another request: Lost: Via Domus --> Lost: Via Domus --Blueeagleislander 17:39, 16 July 2008 (PDT)
Bug: For some reason GOSH won't work for me in Safari (I hit the button, but nothing changes). It works somewhat in Firefox, but doesn't do any italicization edits. Request: I'd love to see common punctuation edits: remove extra spaces after periods (there should be only one), change a string of periods to the actual ellipsis (…) character, replace double hyphens (--) with a dash (—). --GrammarGal 21:00, 3 August 2008 (PDT)
