Theories
Rousseau and Alex
When Rousseau and her science team came to the island, Rousseau's team got the time sickness since they didn't follow the coordinates of 305. However, pregnant women don't get affected by the time sickness, their child(ren) does. So, the Others took Alex to cure her of the time sicknes (maybe Jacob cured her).
The Island is a black hole
My friend thinks the island is from another dimension so this got me thinking: what if DHARMA created a black hole (maybe several of them) in the middle of the ocean.
Richard Alpert
Maybe Alpert got stuck in a cross between the island's healing properties and the time traveling sicknes, making him ageless. Also, before Locke left the island to tell the Oceanic 6 to come back, he told Richard to go back in time to recruit him at a young age (as we saw in Cabin Fever), maybe because Locke is Jacob.
Magic box is smoke monster
The smoke monster seems to be able to turn into people from people's pasts. It can "turn into them" or maybe bring their spirits to the island.
Then Island comes to the plane
In the Season 2 finale, the plane is believed to have been pulled towards the island. But what if the island got pulled to the plane?
Random facts I discovered
4 divided by 8 divided by 15 divided by 16 divided by 23 divided by 42 = 2:15..........so on. 2:15pm is when Oceanic Flight 815 left from Sydney.
