Cleaning
to nominate for a cleanup type {{cleanup}} at the top of the page, or if a talk page {{talk cleanup}}
{ { cleanup } } { { Talk_Cleanup } }
Good Luck! - - Mikey - "so emo, it hurts"©
- Thanks a lot, just changed the post so my user area isn't on the 'cleaning' list. Thanks again for the info nickb123
Small how to.
At our left there is a link in the toolbox; 'Upload file' there ou can upload images. To create a page type the name in the search bar and follow instructions. --GodEmperorOfHell 08:09, 3 June 2006 (PDT)
Many arrows?
Well I'm subscribed to the Official Podcast and I don't recall L&C speaking about other arrow stations (it might be simply bad memory, though), however the theory is not new, I suggest searching for a reference in other official sources as thefuselage.com. In the meantime you may add a comment in the proper talkpage asking for help. I will keep my radar open. --GodEmperorOfHell 05:46, 9 June 2006 (PDT)
Re:Couple of ideas.
a) This article lacks Images and that's good: Well, we have lots of unused images and the articles that do need images already have them, we already some galleries inside some articles like Hurley, could you really tell me about entries that need images? I think we are already very well covered, as it is.
b)Lostpedia is not a fanfic community. However there are lots of things to make and do around. For instance we have our Policies in progress. There is a lot of discussing and cleaning up to do. --GodEmperorOfHell 19:50, 13 June 2006 (PDT)
Template
Is this what you meant?
{{Blakeposts}}
yields:

BTW, creating templates is easy. Just use the prefix Template: and then use coding like usual. :)

- I wish I had those SKILLZ in editing templates and tables. Sadly, User:XSG was responsible for most of the TLE template goodness. Good luck! :) Jengod 00:36, 21 June 2006 (PDT)
- Yup... looks like you've got the idea of a template down. What you needed assistance with was with "style". I wish I could teach you what you need to know, but alas, I've found that altering a table's style is rather complicated and often takes a great deal of experience. Please feel free to alter what I've done to the template. The best way to learn this stuff is to do it. If you don't like your changes, you can always revert. —XSG 23:11, 21 June 2006 (PDT)
- Color codes... I can teach you about the hexidecimal (#808080) color codes! Colors on a computer screen are all created from three different hues (red, green, and blue) which occur at various intensities (from 0 (dark) to 255(bright)). In order for your browser to know that you're talking about a color code, you must precede the code with a #. After the # come the red code, the green code, and the blue code (always in this order). While you and I think about intensity on a digital scale from 0 to 255, the computer thinks about it in binary machine language. We can compromise with computers by converting to hexidecimal. To do this, think of your digital intensity number. Let's say we want something right in the middle, neither dark nor bright, so we choose 128. Converting 128 to hexidecimal can be down using a calculator like the one that comes with Windows... launch the calculator (Start | Programs | Accessories | Calculator), then click on "View" and select scientific. In the top left of the calculator, make sure "Dec" (for decimal) is selected. Enter the number 128, and then click the radio button next to "Hex". Suddenly, 128 is converted to 80. So if you want a dark purple, you would add a little red, no green, and a little blue... #400040 might do nicely. And if you wanted yellow, you'd take a whole lot of red and a whole lot of green and no blue for #ffff00. The colors I selected for the template, by the way, were the colors on the RachelBlake.com website. I hope this helps! —XSG 15:33, 22 June 2006 (PDT)

I changed the blake posts template; as all the pages it was in had the category Rachel Blake at the bottom, which didn't exist. I apologize in advance if I have made a mistake, --Phmall 12:27, 24 June 2006 (PDT)
In response to your comment, all I have to say is that it's summer, and I have alot of free time on my hands. ;p --Phmall

Small Articles relating to the LE
It might be a good idea for the time being to keep the articles on the lesser characters in the LE just in case they become more important. It's a place to put information. I understand that articles like Irene are pointless, but for example Dr. Hackett has been mentioned more than once. --Phmall 16:52, 24 June 2006 (PDT)
ok what do you do so that the sig works without putting the code in the nickname thing? --Phmall 17:08, 24 June 2006 (PDT)
Page Layout
It looks to me like he just copied the top section to learn how to use the template for lostaways. He may not understand the color codes or the <div>. Don't take it too personally. There are bigger things in life to worry about. Your page has much more content and is cooler anyway.

Signature
Well, since you've figured out how to do it, how do you edit your signature? Feelin kinda stupid... Could you tell me on my talk page? Lost On Craphole Island 11:38, 26 June 2006 (PDT)
Re: Welcome
OK, so maybe I should have waited before implementing it, but if I hadn't used it, no one would have noticed the template in order to improve it. It is my opinion that every Wiki should have a welcome template. The difference between mine and The thing's is that mine is a template. If someone feels it says something wrong or needs to be added to, they edit the template and all of the pages using it are changed. It is also easier to use. Also -- compare the two. Mine actually has useful links and looks more professional. I don't know why I'm telling this to you (you're not getting involved), but I thought I should tell someone, and you seem to be the only one who has noticed it so far. Whatever. -Platypus Man | Talk 12:29, 5 July 2006 (PDT)
Blake template
- That actually looks pretty good! I couldn't really think of anything to make it look better, but I'll try to make some small changes.
One change I can think of is to have each type of blog (Denmark, Iceland, etc.) in different rows, and I'll see if I can figure out how to do that (me with HTML=n00b). Anyways, it looks damn good, and might be easier to track RAchel's itinerary from a first glance. Thanks!

--Aero*Zeppelin 10:43, 10 July 2006 (PDT)
Alright! I'll be keeping an eye out for it later. I have a dentist's appointment soon, so I might not be on until later. Either way, it's awesome that we've been working together to improve this!
--Aero*Zeppelin12:26, 10 July 2006 (PDT)
I suggested this on the template talk page, that we use a darker shade of blue. something to stand out a little more.
--Aero*Zeppelin 12:32, 10 July 2006 (PDT)
- I'm terrible with hex codes, but I usually go here to get ideas: http://www.december.com/html/spec/color3.html Good luck! Jengod 13:00, 10 July 2006 (PDT)
- Sorry! :( I'm not very helpful I'm afraid. I'm not sure you can outline just the sections you want. My next best suggestion is to have different color palates for each country to have things stand out. Good luck again. :) Jengod 15:05, 10 July 2006 (PDT)
Funny Wiki
This isn't spam. Do want to join The New Funny Wiki? If not I understand. Just I want more users. So, get back to me. The thing Talk 06:51, 11 July 2006 (PDT)
- The Funny wiki is just pages that you create and then eventually people will improve them and they may end up on the main page or something that the main page links to. You mainly just do anything that doesn't break the Rules. Someone wiill do something with it. That's it. The thing Talk 07:08, 11 July 2006 (PDT)

Hey Nick, unfortunately I can only do content from S2 atm. You could try going to lost-media.com and searching out their screencap and photoshopping or otherwise cropping the music box. -- C¯ _Santa_ ¯T12:46, 13 July 2006 (PDT)
I Never
Hey, I was just wanting to say thanks for expanding the article on I Never that I created. I thought the game deserved it's own page, but I couldn't really be bothered doing much more than a stub! Just contact me if you have anything else to say about it. Cheers. --SilvaStorm

re: Featured Glitch
Sometimes you have to do a purge on the article to force the wiki database to apply changes like this to a page. It's also possible you had a cached copy in your browser and needed to force a refresh. adding ?action=purge to the end of an article URL forces wiki to purge it's cached copy of the page and regenerate. lostpedia on wikipedia
the reason the page was deleted was because it didn't pass the three criteria required in order to justify the existence of a page about a website over there (WP:WEB,WP:SPAM, and WP:NOT) --kaini. 10:33, 4 August 2006 (PDT)
- one other small thing, if you're not getting any joy over at deletion review, or it's taking ages, ask this guy. --kaini. 11:01, 4 August 2006 (PDT)

Nick - thanks for your message. I don't remember where I took the user box from (could have been a clone of yours), but I'll definitely change the image. I thought it was just a standard logo... --Jajasoon 05:31, 5 August 2006 (PDT)

To be honest, I don't know why Wikipedia has such a problem with Lostpedia.
My best guesses: 1) They classify Lostpedia as a "Fan site" 2) They don't believe it's a notable source of info 3) ???
I wish I knew.

Broken links for user pages
I've never known someone making a problem out of it. Just try to tag it as a minor edit. --Peephole 09:43, 7 August 2006 (PDT)
Re: Userpage
I stole the table border code from Thunderbird L19. it's simply:
<div style="border: 1px solid #COLOUR OF BORDER; padding: .5em 1em; color: #COLOUR OF TEXT; background-color: #COLOUR OF BACKGROUND; margin: 3px 3px 0; text-align: left">
Also, I recommend making a custom infobox, because those look cool. --Phmall 11:08, 8 August 2006 (PDT)
Thanks...
... for your note. I hope to not screw up too much... --Jajasoon 11:12, 8 August 2006 (PDT)
... and for the heads up on LostPedian. I expect its a common name/new user, but I'll be watching. And BTW - I think it makes sense to switch over Mr. Beardy/Alvar now. We can always revert if things turn out differently, but it seems too clear to wait for more clarity that will probably never come.
