Thank you for finding the references on this article that I was missing. You saved me having to go through a lot of transcripts :) ---- LOSTonthisdarnisland 03:26, 9 April 2008 (PDT)
Tense
Please read the Manual of Style policy before changing all the tenses I just fixed back to the incorrect present form. It's a lot of annoying work to do (i.e., not fun like actually adding content), only to have to go back and redo it again when someone's changed it against policy. Thanks -- LOSTonthisdarnisland 13:05, 25 April 2008 (PDT)
- I'm following the relevant part of policy (link above) including "Episode summaries in particular should be written in the past tense, because events will always be superceded by the upcoming episode". RobertK said the articles are in the present form elsewhere because no one has taken the daunting and annoying task of making them fit the MoS. As soon as I spent hours doing that, you and a couple others reversed it all. I realise the nature of wikis, but this is againt policy, so I thought it fair to point out that it was reverting my hard work. Also note, in relation to your question, the part that states "Other descriptions of places, things, and events should be similarly be in the past tense if these descriptions are "completed", or present tense if "in progress". In general, caution should be exercised when using the present tense in any description of Lost, since future episodes may render the present tense incorrect, warranting a change in the article." Someone telling someone something, or walking somewhere, etc. becomes past tense as soon as it's been done. Most of the synopsis will be past tense. I am, however, leaving flashforwards alone for the moment because we are still "in" 2004 (as far as we know) so events in 2005 would still not have happened in the Lost world. I think that's the dividing line, if I understand correctly. -- LOSTonthisdarnisland 13:17, 25 April 2008 (PDT)
Pay Attention
- Hey buddy, you need to be aware of other people's posts when you edit. When that page pops up that says "EDITING CONFLICT" it means someone edited the article in the meantime while you were writing. You (presumably, accidentally) deleted my post because you ignored the "EDITING CONFLICT" page. Please pay attention, and be respectful of other posters.--Overworkedirish 13:44, 25 April 2008 (PDT)
- Oh snap, I just figured out how I screwed that up. I copied the text from the bottom pane into the top pane, thinking that would update the page with both mine and your comments. Next time, I'll just copy MY comment from the bottom pane and paste it into the top one. I'm new to this interface, so no need to act disrespected. --Halcohol 13:51, 25 April 2008 (PDT)
Eko in Via Domus
- Eko does appear in Via Domus on the balcony in Hotel Persephone. Michael also appears in the cafe outside the hotel. --CTS 18:11, 2 May 2008 (PDT)
