From Lostpedia
- Please don't change other users's posts on talk page. No matter how bad their spelling and grammer are, it is against the rules.--CaptainInsano 19:04, 15 January 2007 (PST)
- Could you please stop changing the infoboxes on every character page to explain how they died. It is not needed. The user can read the article if they wish to know how the person died. Thanks -Mr.Leaf 10:01, 12 February 2007 (PST)
- Thanks
Show Preview
Hey Phil, I just wanted to let you know there's a Show Preview button, that lets you see what your changes look like before you save. It could save you a lot of extra edits. -BearDog 10:43, 12 February 2007 (PST)
Thanks for that, I'm sure it will.
Question
Hi, Phil! I'm Caden Waidyatilleka's mom (young Hurley) ... I was wondering if you would be willing and able to switch the screen capture of Caden for the Hurley page. There are lots of better shots. I know, what's the big deal. It's just that Caden looks so weird in that capture. Sorry to bother you. I don't know how to do it myself. Thanks for considering my request, and for putting the pic up in the first place! Aloha.Re Caden 10:54, 26 March 2007 (PDT)
- Thanks for the quick answer (Marik) ... I replied to your reply on my own "User" page. Re Caden 11:55, 26 March 2007 (PDT)
Just to ask, do I have to put a signature thing on my own page? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Phil (talk • contribs) .
- Yes, please sign all of your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You can also click the button on the edit toolbar to add your signature. Jabberwock talk contribs email - 10:54, 12 February 2007 (PST)
- It helps. Maybe you're involved in a conversation where a decision is made, and months later somebody wants to know the reason behind it. If they can follow the conversation through the talk pages, they'll have an easier time of it. To sign, just type four tildes (Like this: ~~~~), which leaves your name and the date and time of the comment. If you'd like, Lostpedia also allows custom signatures! -BearDog 10:56, 12 February 2007 (PST)
Thanks, I'll do that from now on--Phil 12:32, 12 February 2007 (PST)
Multiple parts
Hey Phil, I'm just curious what makes you so certain that none of the tailies are others now- Mr. Squinty and Ms. Dreadlocks being examples. It's actually pretty uncommon for t.v. shows to use actors for multiple roles (unless heavy make-up is involved). That, combined with what we know about the Others brain-washing tendancies, makes me suspect that the tailies may have been recruited after being captured. -BearDog 13:41, 12 February 2007 (PST)
Oh yeah, I never thought of that. Good point--Phil 14:50, 12 February 2007 (PST)
Luke Image
- I'm not completely sure. I have it in a file, i go onto edit on the Luke page and I don't know what to do next.--Phil 12:41, 13 February 2007 (PST)
- Well I'm going to suggest upload it to Lostpedia using this page Special:Upload first. Then to add the picture to an infobox just add the picture name Whatever.jpg. If you are adding it somewhere else on the page its a bit harder so ask if you need any help. -Mr.Leaf 12:43, 13 February 2007 (PST)
- Something a bit unrelated, when you are adding a new topic to a talk page it is common policy to add it to the bottom of that page as that is where most people will look for new conversation. Another note is that is is a much better idea to respond to someone on their own talk page. Most people link to their talk pages through their signatures (as I do). This allows the user to be notified when you respond. Most users will not check back a page they just posted on as they expect a person to respond on their talk page. Again, if you have any questions, feel free to ask. Thanks -Mr.Leaf 12:46, 13 February 2007 (PST)
- No problem. However as your new I'm letting you know what stealing images from Lost Wikia is frowned upon. There was a large argument a while back and I'd suggest that stealing their image is not a smart thing to do and if you can please replace it with your own screenshot. If you cannot I will try and get a screen shot for you later tonight.-Mr.Leaf 14:27, 13 February 2007 (PST)
- We already have an image of Luke. However, I would also argue that screenshots are ABC/Disney's copyright, so Lost Wikia can't really say anything in return if someone is using them. Plkrtn talk contribs email 14:35, 13 February 2007 (PST)
theory tabs
- Hi I reverted your addition to SBSSG, as fan theories belong in the theory tab, not the main article. You can list it there if you wish. Thanks! -- C¯ _Santa_ ¯T 19:26, 15 February 2007 (PST)
Novels
Hey I just noticed you're working on changing novel character articles to prose too. I'm just doing the Bad Twin ones myself - what a coincidence. Have you read all the books? --Nickb123 (Talk) 07:58, 16 February 2007 (PST)
- With regards to Bad Twin, you ain't missing out on much :) --Nickb123 (Talk) 08:07, 16 February 2007 (PST)
Others' Strike Team
I just wanted to say, good job on the Others' Strike Team, keep up the good work --Mr. Crabby (Talk) 09:05, 25 February 2007 (PST)
Pictures
- Hello, I've seen that you have uploaded a couple pictures in the past hr. or so. If you could, please mark all things you upload with a template. See LP:UI for all the templates. Most of the time, it is from the show, so mark it with this template:{{Tv-s}}. Regards, Marik7772003 05:58, 27 February 2007 (PST)

Who are their parents?
I removed the who are their parents questions from all the pages you posted it on. The reason being it is unnecessary. The unanswered questions section is for questions that have been mentioned or something has been said about them but there is still info missing. Asking about each character's parents are unnecessary. If the character's parents are mentioned in an important way then it is fine to add the question however they question is not needed if they are not mentioned. Please try and keep your edits from verging on the unneeded info and only user information or ask questions that has been referred to in the actual show. Things like the parents question causes unnecessary work to the workload of the Sysops or other users and if it continues, it could be considered vandalism, however i hope it doesn't come to that. Thanks for understanding and if you have any questions feel free to ask. -Mr.Leaf 17:41, 20 March 2007 (PDT)
Name Origins
- I'd like to ask what relevence the character's name origins have to Lost. Most of them seem obvious and I don't think they are needed on the articles. -Mr.Leaf 15:49, 23 March 2007 (PDT)
- No, i think you misunderstood me, But by all means keep going if you want, I'm just curious as to why you think they are necessary on all the articles. I don't have a problem with them, as long as they are accurate. -Mr.Leaf 15:53, 23 March 2007 (PDT)
- Just like to say thanks for helping with reverting those changes earlier. All help is appreciated. -Mr.Leaf 17:18, 24 March 2007 (PDT)
Images with watermarks
Can you please when you upload images from other sites that have watermarks such as the picture of Alex on the wall in Ben's house could you please add the Template:Images To Be Replaced template to them, so we know they have watermarks and can replace the images. Thanks -Mr.Leaf 12:00, 6 April 2007 (PDT)
Others background cast
- Just to clarify your last edit, the body count on that article is for background only, not main Others such as Goodwin. Did Ana-Lucia kill an unnamed background Other? -- C¯ _Santa_ ¯T 17:28, 16 April 2007 (PDT)
Article Attack
Hey, thanks for your work on the Pregnancies article. You get the AAA medal for your efforts this week. Feel free to move this to your userpage and tinker with it to make it into an infobox instead like other recipients have done. Cheers, --Nickb123 (Talk) 13:30, 22 April 2007 (PDT)
- Hey again, haha looks like you win the AAA for second week on the trot. Shame there wasn't more heat for it this week, perhaps Room 23 wasn't the best choice. Anywayz, thanks for your work, and as I said before feel free to move this to your userpage. Later,
--Nickb123 (Talk) 13:01, 29 April 2007 (PDT)
- Congrats on becoming the first back-to-back AA winner. --Mr. Crabby (Talk) 13:26, 29 April 2007 (PDT)
Ana Lucia
Why would we want to add the hyphen to her name when TPTB tell us that we should not? -- Cheers (talk) 13:48, 9 May 2007 (PDT)
- I always thought it was Ana-Lucia. It is listed as Ana-Lucia, not Ana Lucia. Anyway, I've reverted it now.--Phil (talk)13:51, 9 May 2007 (PDT)
Karl
Forgive me if I misunderstand, but the spoiler policy I read says that only information not released officially by ABC is considered a spoiler; wouldn't a promo be okay (especially combined with the official guest star list)? UpwardProgression 23:32, 9 May 2007 (PDT)
- Straight from here: Plot summaries from ABC, promos for the show, and the Official Lost Podcast are not considered spoilers by Lostpedia and don't require spoiler warnings. Is that page wrong? I'm not trying to be difficult; I'm genuinely confused. UpwardProgression 23:38, 9 May 2007 (PDT)
- Still seems inconsistent, but I'll drop it. How about something like "Karl eventually made his way to the survivors' beach on Day 93"? UpwardProgression 23:46, 9 May 2007 (PDT)
AA mistake
Sorry about editing it by season, i made a mistake. DrGiggles 12:37, 13 May 2007 (PDT)
Naomi
Why do you like the headband photo so much when there are numerous official photos that were offered? She looks bad with that on her head. Plus, I'm alexisfan07. I provided the poster of the second part of the season for lostmedia.com and everyone else in the WORLD that stole it from there. Don't think you have more authority than others with photos. That poster is worldwide on the internet... the only scan all the lost sites have of that version of the poster. What have you sent worldwide?
--Alexisfan07 11:22, 30 May 2007 (PDT)
Re:Template
I do like it, but as you say I'm trying to think of where to slot it in. I thought possibly right at the top, but resizing the window might mess this with the infobox template. Maybe just above the bottom of page nav, if it was centered. I think those are the only two logical options. --Nickb123 (Talk) 14:20, 30 May 2007 (PDT)
- Hey uou also win the AAA for the crimes of the islanders page. That's what, your third win?! Thanks for your work, it was good to see someone reading what was said, i.e. about the importance of prose etc.
--Nickb123 (Talk) 05:54, 4 June 2007 (PDT)
Re:Redirecting
It's really quite simple. Go to the page you want to redirect to another, say the page is Jack. It should be an empty page. Add the following code:
#Redirect [[Jack Shephard]]
And save the page. Now if you click on Jack it will go to Jack Shephard. Basically enter that one line with the page you wish to redirect to in the square brackets and it redirects to that page. -Mr.Leaf 13:00, 5 June 2007 (PDT)
