A Widget is a piece of programming which runs inside an interface which is used to collect and display information in one place. Popular examples of widgets are used to display your local weather, or a quickly usable calculator.
Widgets of various types on a Lost theme exist. Some emulate the countdown timer, whereas others stream Lost videos from ABC, or count down the time remaining in any hiatus of episode broadcasts.
Some widgets may require Konfabulator on Windows computers, but will run natively in OS X on Macintosh computers.
